Hue of Nature

“There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.” — Lord Byron

We, the city dwellers, often escape from the urban hue and cry and seek refuge in the wilderness to rekindle our weary spirit. The bliss of solitude heals our soul and restores our inner peace. “Hue of Nature” archives the stories of our journey through this wonderful planet, in forms of photographs and travelogues. With our stories, we wish to inspire people to go out and explore this beautiful world. Let’s share Love, spread Happiness, embrace Diversity and above all, care for Nature.

Lopamudra Kundu

Wireless Systems Engineer and Penwoman

I am Lopamudra (or, Lopa to my friends), an engineer by profession and currently, a resident of the Bay area. I am a traveller smitten with wanderlust, and often set out for hiking and roadtrips. An escape to the silence of nature from urban humdrum soothes my soul; as renowned naturalist John Muir aptly said, “Keep close to the nature’s heart.. and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods, wash your spirit clean”. Alike traveling, writing also gives me a sense of liberation, a way to express my gratitude towards nature.

Sankha S. Hota

Physicist and Photographer

I am Sankha (or, more commonly Hota to my friends), a physicist by education, but a photographer by passion and nature lover by heart. I like to travel, take pictures and oftentimes stand in one place imagining of a particular scenario that is picture-perfect but never occurs. If you happen to see me in a park, you may notice me talking to myself, mostly dissecting the photo opportunity I just missed to capture. I also dream of taking ‘the photograph’ to be highlighted in a prestigious international Magazine. I will keep on trying to take that elusive photo one fine day.
